Reach Out and Welcome: Whether you are new to Basel or new to the American Women's Club, join us at Rosario's Wine Bar. Members of the Board and our Reach Out and Welcome Team look forward to answering your questions and helping you feel more comfortable in your new home.

Friday Lunch Bunch: Join a friendly group of members at the AWC table every Friday starting at 12 noon at Zum Braunen Mutz, Barfusserplatz 10, 4001 Basel. Also meets over the summer! No RSVP required—just drop by to say hello, have a coffee or stay for a meal.

Ladies' Night Out: Meets once a month for a movie, drinks or dinner.

Wine Tasting: New members are always welcome at this activity, which generally meets every 3^rd Tuesday each month, except July/August, in the evening at a members home.

Walk & Talk: Meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 9:30 am for in-town walking; starting poin Bidder & Tanner.

Bookworms: Story time for children from 4:00 - 4:30pm; meets on Wednesday afternoons in the AWC Library at Centrepoint. ‘Bookworms’ is designed to foster the joy of reading in children.

Family Events: Plans monthly, family-oriented events within and around Basel. The objective is to provide families with children an opportunity to meet one another and socialize, as well as become familiar with a variety of family-friendly venues in the area.

Bridgearama: A fun competition of bridge pairs made up of players from the AWC membership and outside participants. The season begins with a pair tournament in September and ends with a pair tournament in June. Bridgearama proceeds are donated to FAWCO charitable activities.

Afternoon Patchwork: The group meets Monday afternoons from 2:00 - 5:00 pm in the AWC Library to do patchwork or other handwork. Newcomers are welcome.

Knitting Drop-In: Meets every Friday 9:30-11:30 am for knitting and crochet.

Book Groups
Please note that all of our book groups are very popular and some of them may have a waiting list to join.

Monday Morning Book Group: Generally meets at 9:30 am, the third Monday of the month.

Afternoon Book Club (ABC): Generally meets the first Tuesday of the month, September through June.

Jane Austen Book Club: Meets every month for a Jane Austen book or film.

Morning Book Group: Generally meets the third Wednesday of the month, September through June.

Evening Book Group: Meets the third Wednesday evening of the month, September through June.
