The library of the American Women's Club, Basel, offers its members and their families free use of English language reading materials.
Location
You can find us at Lohnhof 8, in the Centrepoint facility. Take the Number 3 tram to the Musik Akademie stop.

Collection
The AWC Library features popular fiction, including best-sellers, mysteries, science fiction, and romances. Our non-fiction categories include biographies, travel, and family among others. In our children's section, we have books to please all age groups.
Lending Policy
Adults may borrow up to four books at a time and 10 children's books for a four-week period. Books must be returned to the library during opening hours. To renew books for another four-week period, call during library opening hours. Fines for overdue books are 1 CHF per book per week not to exceed CHF 20.
Donations
The library will consider all donations of books written in English. Please no damaged books, condensed books, textbooks, and encyclopedias or reference books over 10 years old.
Volunteer Opportunities Anyone who is interested in helping during library opening hours or working behind the scenes to maintain the library collection, handling book donations, writing book reviews or assisting in book selection is invited to contact the library chairperson.
