We are happy to welcome as members all women of US citizenship as well as women with ties to the USA or to the community of US citizens living in the Basel area.  Our membership categories include:

Regular Members: Women who are US citizens or wives, partners or daughters of US citizens.

Associate Members: Women of other nationalities who speak fluent English and have lived at least one year in the USA.

Friends of the AWC: Women of any nationality who speak English fluently and who have ties to the USA or to the community of US citizens living in the Basel area. Like Regular and Associate members, Friends are encouraged to take an active part in all AWC events and activities. However, Friends may not vote in AWC elections or hold AWC board positions.

*If you would like to become an Associate Member or a Friend, we ask that you submit a brief statement along with your membership application describing your ties to the USA and your reasons for wanting to join. Thank you!*

Dues: Annual membership dues are CHF 80 for our AWC calendar year (May through April). This includes your participation in all AWC events as well as a subscription to our newsletter, the Rhine Times and a membership directory. NOTE: If any NEW member joins the AWC after January in the fiscal year, the annual dues owed are only CHF 40.

How to Join: If you would like to join the AWC of Basel, here's what you need to do:

1. Complete and mail in the application/membership form to:
   American Women's Club of Basel
   Postfach 2161
   CH-4002 Basel
   Switzerland
2. If you already have a payment slip, just pay the annual dues of CHF 80.
3. Or, after we have received your membership form, we will send you a payment slip to pay the annual dues.
4. After the annual dues have been paid and acknowledged as received by the Treasurer, the membership status begins.
